PETALING JAYA, Aug 19 — The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) intends to put forward recipients of its cleaning worker awards for consideration in the 2026 state honours system, according to officials overseeing the initiative.
The move reflects government efforts to elevate the status of sanitation workers and recognise their vital role in maintaining public health and environmental cleanliness. Award-winning cleaners who have demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication in their roles will be eligible for nomination.
