Houthi forces claim downing of Saudi Apache helicopter
The Houthi movement has claimed responsibility for shooting down a Saudi Arabian Apache attack helicopter, saying two crew members were killed in the incident. The claim has not been independently verified.

The Iran-aligned Houthi group announced Wednesday that its forces had successfully targeted and destroyed a Saudi Apache helicopter during operations in Yemen. According to the militant organization's statement, the aircraft was downed in a combat engagement, resulting in the deaths of both crew members aboard.
The Houthis regularly report military operations against Saudi-led coalition forces involved in Yemen's ongoing conflict. However, independent verification of such claims remains difficult due to restricted access and the fluid nature of the conflict.
Saudi Arabia has led a military coalition in Yemen since 2015 in support of the internationally recognized government against the Houthi insurgency. The conflict has resulted in significant casualties and a humanitarian crisis affecting millions of Yemeni civilians.
Neither Saudi Arabia nor the coalition has issued an immediate response to the Houthi claim. The coalition maintains air superiority in the conflict but has acknowledged losses of aircraft and personnel throughout the years of operation.
