Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation begins issuing birth, death certificates

The Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation has rolled out a new service enabling residents to obtain birth and death certificates directly from the corporation's office premises. Municipal Commissioner Vinay Kulkarni issued directives to officials to operationalize the certification system from the designated date, marking a shift towards decentralized delivery of vital registration services in the jurisdiction.

The initiative is expected to reduce bureaucratic delays and simplify the process for citizens seeking certified copies of birth and death records. Previously, residents had to navigate multiple offices or rely on intermediaries to obtain these essential documents, which are required for various administrative and legal purposes including school admissions, passport applications, and property transactions.
