Human remains discovered in aircraft wheel well at Kuala Lumpur airport

The discovery was made during routine aircraft maintenance at Malaysia's busier of two main international airports. Emergency response teams were notified and the remains were secured at the scene while forensic specialists began their initial assessment.

While the exact identity of the individual remains unknown, authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation to determine who the person was and how they came to be in the wheel well. The aircraft involved in the incident has been grounded pending the completion of all investigative procedures.

KLIA2, located in Sepang south of Kuala Lumpur, handles millions of passengers annually. Authorities have not disclosed which airline operated the aircraft or provided additional details about the flight history of the plane in question.
