Hyatt expands North India footprint with Saraca partnership deal

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Saraca Hotels have entered into a strategic partnership to expand the luxury hospitality operator's presence across North India through a portfolio of four properties. The agreement encompasses two existing hotels—one in Lucknow and another in Corbett—which will be rebranded under Hyatt's portfolio of brands. Additionally, two new-build properties will be developed in proximity to Jim Corbett National Park, the renowned wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand.

The expansion reflects Hyatt's continued investment strategy in India's emerging leisure and business travel markets. The North India region has seen growing demand for branded hotel accommodations, particularly near popular tourist destinations and in tier-II cities like Lucknow, which serves as a key business and cultural hub in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Under the partnership, the existing properties will undergo conversion to meet Hyatt's operational standards and brand specifications. The two new-build hotels near Jim Corbett National Park are designed to capitalize on the region's expanding tourism sector, as domestic and international visitors increasingly seek quality accommodation options near the park.

The agreement underscores both companies' commitment to enhancing hospitality infrastructure across North India. Saraca Hotels brings regional expertise and property development capabilities, while Hyatt contributes its global brand recognition and operational management systems to the initiative.
