Hyderabad slashes metro-bus pass price by over half to ₹4,000
Hyderabad Metro Rail and RTC Bus have significantly reduced monthly pass charges for their integrated common mobility card. The new pricing takes effect from November 8, 2026.

The Hyderabad Metro Rail and Rapid Transport Corridor (RTC) Bus consortium has announced a substantial price cut for its unified common mobility card, bringing down the monthly pass charge from ₹8,500 to ₹4,000. The revised fare structure, which represents a 53 percent reduction, becomes effective from November 8, 2026. The move comes as authorities seek to boost adoption of the integrated ticketing system and encourage greater use of public transport across the metropolitan region. The common mobility card permits seamless travel across both metro rail and bus services, eliminating the need for separate tickets or passes. Officials expect the lower tariff to make the card more attractive to regular commuters, particularly office-goers and students who rely on combined metro-bus journeys. The reduction underscores the transport authorities' commitment to making public mobility more affordable and accessible to Hyderabad residents. Further details regarding eligibility criteria and implementation of the new tariff structure are expected to be released shortly.
