Hyderabad to hold lottery draws for 7,340 Indiramma housing units

Hyderabad residents seeking affordable housing will have the opportunity to witness the allocation process firsthand as the Telangana government conducts live-streamed lottery draws for 7,340 Indiramma housing units at the CURE (Comprehensive Urban Renewal and Environmental) township in the city.

The lottery draws are scheduled to take place over four days beginning August 28 through August 31. Officials will broadcast the proceedings live to ensure complete transparency in the allotment process and allow beneficiaries and the general public to observe the proceedings in real time.

The Indiramma scheme, a flagship affordable housing initiative, has generated significant demand among middle and lower-income households in Hyderabad. By conducting public lottery draws with live streaming, the government aims to eliminate concerns about favoritism and demonstrate the fairness of the allotment mechanism.

Beneficiaries can watch the draws through designated platforms and venues as the housing units are allocated to successful applicants. The multi-day schedule is designed to accommodate the large number of units being distributed while maintaining systematic record-keeping and verification procedures.

This initiative aligns with the government's commitment to expanding affordable housing stock in Hyderabad and addressing the growing residential needs of the city's expanding population.
