ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company reported an 8 per cent decline in net profit for the second quarter, even as the firm maintained shareholder returns through a dividend announcement. The company declared a dividend of Rs 30 per share for the period.
Total income for the quarter fell to Rs 1,691 crore, representing a 3.1 per cent sequential decline from Rs 1,745 crore recorded in the previous quarter. The contraction in revenue metrics reflects challenging market conditions and evolving dynamics in India's asset management sector.
Despite the quarterly headwinds, the dividend declaration underscores management's confidence in underlying business fundamentals and cash generation capabilities. Asset managers across India have faced mixed fortunes this year as market volatility and shifting investor preferences reshape the competitive landscape.
ICICI Prudential AMC remains one of India's prominent asset managers, serving a diverse client base through equity, debt, and hybrid fund offerings. The company's performance comes amid broader industry trends affecting fund houses navigating changing regulatory requirements and investor behaviour patterns.
