ICICI Prudential Life names Sidharatha Mishra as new MD and CEO
Sidharatha Mishra will assume the role of chief operating officer from October 6, before transitioning to managing director and chief executive officer later this month, subject to regulatory approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company has appointed Sidharatha Mishra to lead the organisation as managing director and chief executive officer, marking a significant leadership transition for one of India's prominent life insurance providers.
Mishra will initially take charge as chief operating officer from October 6, 2024, before assuming the full responsibilities of MD and CEO from October 14 or upon receipt of approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, whichever date comes later.
The appointment underscores ICICI Prudential Life's focus on strengthening its leadership structure as the life insurance sector continues to evolve in response to changing consumer preferences and regulatory frameworks. The transition period will allow Mishra to familiarize himself with the company's operations and strategic direction before assuming the top position.
