ILIGAN CITY — The Tambacan barangay council has mobilized two vehicles to offer free rides to the public following the closure of Badelles Bridge for repairs. Barangay Captain Ma-e Labra confirmed the initiative, stating that an Isuzu Elf and Toyota Innova have been deployed to transport passengers across the affected area.
The free shuttle service aims to assist students, workers, and other residents who rely on the bridge for daily commute. The measure addresses transportation challenges created by the bridge's temporary closure during the rehabilitation period.
Barangay officials have not announced a specific timeline for the bridge repairs or duration of the free shuttle service. However, the initiative represents efforts by local government to mitigate disruptions to residents' mobility and economic activities while infrastructure work is underway.
