Iligan City reroutes traffic via C3 Road to ease congestion
Iligan City authorities are directing through-traffic to an alternative route to alleviate congestion in the city proper. The Iligan City Traffic and Parking Management Office has advised drivers transiting from neighboring provinces to use the C3 Road instead.

The Iligan City Traffic and Parking Management Office (ICTPMO) has issued an advisory directing vehicles from Lanao del Norte and Misamis Oriental provinces to use the C3 Road if they have no destination in Iligan's city proper. The measure is intended to reduce traffic bottlenecks affecting residents and businesses in the central business district.
The rerouting advisory specifically targets light vehicles and medium-sized trucks, which comprise a significant portion of through-traffic during peak hours. By directing these vehicles to the alternative corridor, city officials aim to preserve road capacity for local traffic and emergency vehicles within the city proper.
The C3 Road bypass has been designated as the preferred route for drivers who are merely passing through Iligan en route to other destinations. City traffic managers believe the rerouting strategy will help maintain smoother traffic flow while reducing congestion-related delays for commuters and commerce in the downtown area.
The advisory reflects growing traffic management challenges in the city, which serves as a major commercial hub in northern Mindanao. The ICTPMO continues to monitor traffic conditions and adjust directives as needed to optimize vehicular flow across the city's road network.
