Authorities in Iloilo apprehended a 32-year-old suspect, known by the alias "Dave," during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted late Monday evening in Estancia. The arrest took place at approximately 11:09 p.m. in the suspect's residence located in Barangay Poblacion Zone 2.
Police classified the detained individual as a high-value drug target based on his involvement in narcotics distribution. Officers recovered approximately P2.84 million worth of suspected crystal methamphetamine during the operation, according to law enforcement officials.
The seizure represents a significant interdiction in the provincial police's ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking. The suspect is currently in custody pending formal charges and further investigation by authorities. The confiscated drugs have been turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for laboratory analysis and documentation.
