The Immigration Department has issued a public appeal for information concerning allegations of Special Pass abuse, signalling a heightened focus on potential irregularities within the visa category. Immigration Director-General Zakaria Shaaban said members of the public can channel information directly to the Immigration Department or the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) for thorough investigation. The move comes as authorities intensify scrutiny over the administration of Special Passes, which have previously drawn attention regarding their allocation and usage. The department indicated it is prepared to coordinate with anti-corruption authorities to ensure allegations are properly investigated.
