Three judicial officers, including two women, at Alipore District Court in Kolkata have formally complained to the District Judge about intimidation by an unidentified man who falsely claimed to hold ministerial rank. The officers alleged that the individual entered the judge's chamber without authorisation and made threatening statements during the encounter.
According to the complaint, the man had previously been in custody of the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Rose Valley case, a multi-crore investment fraud that triggered widespread public outrage. His exact current status and whereabouts could not be immediately confirmed.
The incident has raised concerns about security protocols at the high court complex in Alipore, one of West Bengal's principal judicial institutions. Court officials have initiated an investigation into how the individual gained access to the judge's chamber.
This marks a serious breach of judicial decorum and security at the court premises. The Alipore District Court administration has been approached to strengthen access controls and implement additional security measures to prevent unauthorised entry into sensitive areas within the court building.
