Impostor income tax officers raid Rajasthan home, flee with jewels worth 30 million rupees

A sophisticated heist in Ajmer district saw criminals impersonating income tax officers target the home of Kartik Maheshwari in Nasirabad, making off with jewellery valued at around 30 million rupees. The suspects arrived in a black Scorpio vehicle and intimidated the family while conducting what they claimed was an official search operation. The elaborate ruse allowed the gang to systematically loot gold and silver ornaments before departing the scene.

Local law enforcement moved swiftly to apprehend those responsible for the brazen theft. Police deployed checkpoint operations across key exit routes from the area while simultaneously reviewing CCTV footage from the crime scene and surrounding locations. Technical surveillance data proved instrumental in identifying the suspects.

Within three hours of the incident being reported, authorities had apprehended six individuals believed to be part of the criminal gang. The rapid arrests underscored the police department's coordinated response to the case. Investigators are continuing their enquiry to determine whether the suspects were linked to other similar incidents in the region involving fake government officials.
