India airlifts fresh relief supplies to flood-stricken Nepal
India has dispatched an additional 11 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Nepal as part of its ongoing support for the country's recovery from devastating flash floods. The latest consignment, sent via military aircraft, includes critical supplies such as medicines, forensic equipment, and shelter materials.

An Indian Air Force C-130 transport aircraft delivered the fresh tranche of relief material to Kathmandu on Saturday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar announced, underscoring New Delhi's commitment to assisting its neighbour in the aftermath of recent natural disasters. The consignment comprised medicines, forensic supplies, tents, hygiene kits, sleeping bags and other essential items required for rescue and relief operations. Jaishankar said the dispatch reflects India's "Neighbourhood First" policy, reaffirming the country's readiness to support Nepal during humanitarian crises. The latest shipment follows India's substantial earlier contributions to Nepal's disaster response efforts. To date, India has dispatched more than 130 tonnes of relief material and deployed 54 specialist personnel to assist in Nepal's rescue, relief and forensic operations, demonstrating the depth of bilateral cooperation in disaster management. Officials characterised the assistance as part of India's Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) framework, which enables rapid mobilisation of resources to support affected countries in the region.
