INDIA bloc postpones virtual meet on 'vote chori' protest strategy

The INDIA bloc has postponed a virtual meeting of its senior leadership that was slated to discuss strategy around their 'vote chori' (vote theft) campaign, according to coalition sources.

The deferred session was meant to serve as a brainstorming forum where opposition leaders would map out a roadmap for coordinated protests, review organizational preparations for a planned November 1 rally, and strategize ways to corner the government on allegations of electoral malpractices.

The postponement comes as the 28-member opposition alliance continues to mobilize against what it terms systematic irregularities in the electoral process. The coalition has been intensifying its public campaign over concerns about vote counting procedures and election administration.

No official reason for the deferment has been announced, and coalition sources have not yet indicated when the meeting will be rescheduled. The November 1 rally is expected to be a major show of strength for the opposition bloc, bringing together leaders from multiple political parties across regional and national lines.
