The Indian cricket authorities confirmed the squad addition on Saturday as preparations intensify for the upcoming ODI series against the visiting New Zealand team. Nabi's inclusion signals India's tactical approach to the limited-overs fixtures, with the fast bowler expected to provide additional depth to the pace bowling contingent.
The three-match ODI series forms part of the bilateral engagement between the two nations and represents a key fixture in the international cricket calendar. India's selection committee has opted to expand options in the bowling department ahead of the first three encounters.
Full squad details and match scheduling for the series are expected to be confirmed by the BCCI in the coming days. The inclusion comes as India seeks to maintain momentum in ODI cricket following recent international fixtures.
