India claims second shooting medal at Asiad 2026 with rifle team silver
India's shooters secured a silver medal in the men's 10m air rifle team event at the Asian Games on Monday, marking the country's second consecutive medal in shooting at the competition.

The Indian trio of Rudrankksh Patil, Himanshu Dhillon and Parth Mane combined for a team score of 1890.1 points to finish second in the men's 10m air rifle team event. China dominated the competition, clinching gold with a world record team total of 1899.0 points, surpassing their previous benchmark by 0.6 points. South Korea secured the bronze medal with a tally of 1884.2 points.
In the individual qualification standings from the team event, Rudrankksh finished third with 631.8 points, securing a spot in the individual final. Himanshu advanced to the individual competition as well, finishing seventh with 630.0 points. Parth Mane narrowly missed qualification for the individual round after posting 628.3 points for tenth place.
The silver medal represents India's second consecutive podium finish in shooting at the Games. Earlier, the Indian women's 10m air rifle team of Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod claimed silver in their event, adding to the country's shooting medal haul at the Asian Games.
