India claims silver in women's 50m rifle 3P team event at Asiad 2026
India's rifle shooting trio secured a team silver medal at the Asian Games, with China dominating the event through a games record performance. In the individual competition, young shooter Tilottama Sen finished fourth despite leading early in the final.

India's women's 50-metre rifle three-position team achieved a strong second-place finish at the Asian Games on Saturday, with the trio of Tilottama Sen, Vidarsa Vinod and Ashi Chouksey combining for an aggregate score of 1763. China claimed the gold medal with a games record 1773, while Kazakhstan secured the bronze with 1754 in a closely contested team event.
In the individual final, Sen demonstrated early promise, holding the lead after the opening 25 shots and sitting third after 30 rounds. However, a critical 9.4 score at a decisive moment derailed her medal prospects, ultimately finishing fourth with 337.3 points. Her teammate Vidarsa ended fifth with 327.4, moments after Sen edged her in an earlier matchup with a 10-4 advantage.
China's Jiayu Han dominated the individual competition, claiming gold with an Asian Championship record of 359.0. Compatriot Liyuan Zhang secured silver with 358.8 as China extended its dominance in the rifle shooting disciplines at these Games.
