India has expressed serious concern over coordinated attacks targeting Abha International Airport in the south and King Khalid International Airport in the capital Riyadh, according to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday.
The attacks, which occurred over the past several days, have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, prompting New Delhi to issue a formal condemnation. The MEA statement underscored India's commitment to combating all forms of violence and terrorism that endanger civilian lives.
The Indian government reiterated its support for Saudi Arabia's security and territorial integrity in the face of such attacks. New Delhi called upon all parties to exercise restraint and pursue peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue.
India, which maintains close strategic ties with Saudi Arabia, has consistently opposed attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and public spaces. The development comes amid heightened regional tensions in the Middle East and concerns over the spillover effects on countries with significant interests in the region, including Indian nationals and economic investments.
