New Delhi expressed serious concern over the October 10 attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in significant casualties and injuries. The Ministry of External Affairs characterised the incident as "completely unacceptable," reflecting India's strong stance against such acts of violence.
According to reports, the attack left at least 12 people dead and over 300 others wounded. Saudi Arabia has attributed responsibility for the assault to Houthi militants, though investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
The incident marks a significant security concern for one of the Middle East's major aviation hubs and comes amid ongoing regional tensions. India's condemnation aligns with international calls for accountability and underscores New Delhi's commitment to countering terrorism in all its forms.
The attack has prompted heightened security measures at the airport and raised concerns about air traffic safety in the region. As one of India's closest partners in the Gulf, Saudi Arabia hosts a substantial Indian diaspora and maintains significant bilateral relations with New Delhi across defence, energy, and trade sectors.
