India Lodges Fresh Protest With Pakistan Over Border Infiltration
India's Ministry of External Affairs summoned Pakistan's top envoy in New Delhi to lodge a formal protest against what New Delhi describes as continued cross-border infiltration and narcotics trafficking facilitated by Pakistani authorities.

The diplomatic summons marked New Delhi's latest move to address what Indian officials characterize as persistent security challenges along the international border. The Pakistani High Commissioner was called to the MEA headquarters to receive a formal demarche outlining Indian concerns about infiltration attempts and drug-smuggling networks allegedly operating with state connivance.
Indian security agencies have repeatedly flagged concerns about organized attempts to push militants and contraband across the border into Indian territory. The government views such activities as destabilizing and has consistently raised the matter through diplomatic channels with Islamabad.
The summons reflects mounting tensions between the two nations over border management and counter-terrorism cooperation. India has previously emphasized that it expects Pakistan to prevent its territory from being used for activities that threaten Indian security and stability.
Pakistan's Foreign Office has not yet issued an immediate response to the diplomatic protest. Bilateral relations between the two South Asian neighbors have remained strained, with border security and cross-border militant activity remaining persistent flashpoints in their engagement.
