India must adopt aggressive bowling strategy against West Indies, says Tilak

With India holding a 2-1 lead in the series, a victory in the fourth T20I would secure an unassailable advantage and seal the rubber. The West Indies, however, will be looking to draw level following their impressive performance in the second match.

Tilak Varma emphasized that India cannot afford a conservative approach against a West Indies side brimming with batting talent throughout their lineup. The visitors demonstrated their formidable power-hitting credentials by successfully chasing India's 249-run total in the second T20I, with captain Shai Hope delivering a stunning 45-ball century.

"The West Indies are a really good side, especially in T20 cricket. They play significant franchise cricket, so they understand this format extremely well. Their power-hitting ability is unbelievable," Tilak said during the pre-match press conference on Tuesday. "Everyone in their batting order can hit the ball. It is not just the openers or middle-order batsmen."

Tilak stressed the importance of executing a well-planned bowling strategy rather than simply attempting to restrict runs. "We need to hunt for wickets rather than just contain them," he added, underlining India's intent to seize the initiative and dictate terms in Wednesday's encounter.
