India pushes digital infrastructure sharing plan for Brics bloc

India has put forward a comprehensive proposal designed to strengthen digital capabilities across the Brics grouping, which comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The initiative centres on creating a shared repository of digital public infrastructure solutions that member nations can access and adapt to their respective contexts.

The proposal includes establishing dedicated capacity-building centres within Brics countries to support technical training and institutional development. These centres would focus on knowledge transfer and skill enhancement, enabling nations to implement digital solutions more effectively across their economies.

A key component of India's plan involves launching voluntary pilot projects among interested Brics members. These pilot initiatives would allow countries to test and refine digital transformation strategies in controlled environments before broader implementation, reducing deployment risks and improving outcomes.
