India's Bhaker, Saharawat carry flag as Nagoya Asian Games open

India fielded shooters Manu Bhaker and Pavan Saharawat as flag-bearers for the national contingent during the ceremonial parade of nations. The pair's selection underscored the importance of India's shooting programs heading into the Games.

Despite the grandeur of the event, considerable sections of the stadium remained empty during the proceedings, raising questions about ticket sales and public attendance at the opening ceremony.
