India's tenure as chair of the BRICS grouping has resulted in 20 substantive outcomes designed to deepen cooperation among the bloc's five member nations, officials said. The agreements cover a broad range of sectors including agriculture, healthcare, energy infrastructure, urban development, micro and small enterprises, startup innovation, and cross-border trade.

The outcomes reflect a strategic pivot toward practical, ground-level cooperation that aims to benefit businesses and economies across South Asia and beyond. A particular emphasis has been placed on facilitating growth among micro, small and medium enterprises, or MSMEs, which form the backbone of employment and economic activity across the region.

Officials identified the startup focus as crucial for driving competitive advantage and creating high-value employment opportunities for younger populations across the BRICS nations.
