IndiGo, the nation's largest carrier by market share, reinforced its dominance in the sector while also demonstrating superior operational efficiency. The airline achieved an on-time performance rating of 91.2 percent, setting the benchmark for punctuality across Indian carriers. Akasa Air followed closely with an on-time performance of 90.8 percent, reflecting strong operational standards among newer entrants in the market.
Full-service carrier Air India recorded an on-time performance of 86.5 percent during the same period. The variance in punctuality metrics reflects differing operational scales and network complexities among India's major airlines.
Industry analysts attribute the monthly traffic decline to typical seasonal patterns, with July falling within a period of reduced travel demand.
