India's first commercial thermal satellite set for Thursday launch

SatLeo Labs is preparing to launch TAPAS-1, India's inaugural commercial thermal imaging satellite, scheduled for liftoff on Thursday. The spacecraft will conduct in-orbit demonstrations of thermal sensing and data-processing technologies critical to the company's broader satellite constellation strategy.

The TAPAS-1 mission represents a milestone for India's emerging commercial space sector, establishing technical capabilities for thermal Earth observation from space.
