India's cybersecurity community has welcomed an unconventional addition to the dialogue on digital threats: a monumental Trojan Horse sculpture that stands 25 feet tall and weighs approximately two tonnes. Titled The Trojan Project™, the installation was showcased at a prominent security conference in Kochi, Kerala, where it has attracted considerable attention from industry professionals and attendees.
The sculpture, created by renowned artist DaVinci Suresh, represents the first such artistic interpretation of a Trojan Horse concept in India dedicated to cybersecurity awareness. The work draws an explicit conceptual link between the legendary wooden horse used in ancient Greek warfare—a symbol of deceptive infiltration—and modern cyber threats that operate on similar principles of disguised malicious intent.
Cyber Trojans remain among the most persistent threats to digital infrastructure in India and globally. These malware programs typically masquerade as legitimate software or files, allowing cybercriminals to gain unauthorized access to systems, steal sensitive data, or deploy further attacks. The visual metaphor of the physical sculpture serves to underscore the abstract but very real dangers posed by such threats in the digital realm.
The installation at the Kochi security conference reflects growing efforts within India's cybersecurity sector to raise public awareness about digital threats through innovative and engaging means. Industry observers note that such initiatives help bridge the gap between technical security concepts and broader public understanding of cyber risks.
