India's NSA Doval holds talks with Vietnam on defence cooperation

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held high-level talks with Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister General Phan Van Giang during a visit aimed at deepening defence and strategic cooperation between the two nations. The meetings focused on reviewing existing defence partnerships and identifying areas for expanded collaboration. India and Vietnam have been strengthening military ties in recent years, with defence cooperation forming a key pillar of their broader strategic relationship. The talks come as India continues to enhance its engagement with Southeast Asian countries, particularly in the defence and security sectors. Both nations share strategic interests in maritime security and regional stability in the Indo-Pacific region. The discussions are expected to pave the way for further institutional exchanges and military-to-military cooperation between New Delhi and Hanoi.
