India to build first world-class geological museum at dinosaur fossil site

The Jabalpur Bhedaghat Geological Park will be constructed at the historic location in Madhya Pradesh where India's maiden dinosaur fossil remains were unearthed, marking a significant development in the country's paleontological heritage.

The central government has greenlit the ambitious 87-crore rupee initiative, which aims to transform the site into a world-class facility showcasing geological specimens and fossil records. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months, pending regulatory and administrative clearances.

Once operational, the museum and geological park will serve as a major attraction for researchers, students, and tourists interested in India's prehistoric history.
