Ambassador Gor made the remarks while addressing the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) national convention in New Delhi on Tuesday, which examined ways to redefine the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
Stressing the importance of candid, trust-based dialogue, Gor highlighted the need for clear guidelines on export controls and intellectual property safeguards to encourage innovators to invest and scale operations with confidence. He underscored that predictable regulatory and taxation frameworks are essential for businesses to thrive across borders.
The envoy noted that the US embassy in India has led all American diplomatic missions globally in facilitating foreign investment, with over USD 20 billion in inflows. When Indian companies establish operations in the United States, he said, both nations benefit as Indian firms gain access to one of the world's most dynamic and competitive markets.
"This relationship has unbelievable and incredible potential," Gor stated. "To unleash the full power of the economic engine, we must address friction points between our countries." He emphasized that tackling such issues as equal partners would strengthen economic ties and unlock deeper collaboration in key sectors.
