Indian auto dealers bullish on Dhanteras sales amid sustained demand

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has signalled positive market sentiment heading into the auspicious shopping day, with consumer appetite holding firm across all major vehicle segments.

"Overall, it is a strong demand. All segments put together—two-wheelers, four-wheelers, commercial vehicles—are going strong," said Sai Giridhar, FADA President. "Though in electric vehicles, whether two-wheelers or four-wheelers, you can see some supply constraints," he added.

Dealers have highlighted the compressed festival calendar as a key factor boosting retail momentum. With Dhanteras falling on November 6 and Diwali on November 8, the festive fortnight concentrates major purchasing activity within a shorter window. Vehicle registration data through the festival season has remained encouraging, reflecting sustained consumer confidence in automobile purchases.

The resilience in demand across conventional and commercial vehicle categories suggests the sector has entered November with underlying optimism, despite headwinds in certain emerging segments.
