Ride-hailing platform Rapido led the funding momentum with a $240 million raise, followed by electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy's $180 million series and logistics startup River's $102 million round, according to analysis by data intelligence firm Tracxn.
The sector witnessed significant mega-round activity, with 10 rounds exceeding $34 million collectively accounting for approximately $900 million or roughly 70 per cent of total funding during the period. This concentration suggests investor focus remains on high-potential startups despite overall funding contraction.
On the public markets front, automated parking solutions provider Sotefin achieved the highest initial public offering valuation at $35 million, followed by electric vehicle manufacturer Victory EV India at $11 million and automotive accessories company AutoFurnish at $6 million.
The year-on-year comparison indicates a moderation in investor activity within India's auto tech ecosystem, with the number of funding rounds declining significantly despite continued capital inflows. The figures exclude debt, grant, post-IPO and cryptocurrency offerings, focusing solely on equity financing rounds.
