Approximately 3,000 Umrah pilgrims have successfully travelled back to India over the past seven days, utilising available flight routes from Saudi Arabia. The coordinated efforts underscore India's commitment to assisting citizens abroad during periods of difficulty.
The Indian missions have been liaising with Saudi authorities and airlines to ensure expedited travel arrangements for the stranded pilgrims. The MEA has not disclosed the total number of pilgrims affected, but indicated that ongoing operations are expected to continue facilitating returns.
