Indian enterprises accelerate AI deployment beyond pilot phase

Indian enterprises are moving decisively beyond artificial intelligence pilots and experimentation toward widespread production deployments, signaling a maturing adoption curve for enterprise AI technologies. Arundhati Bhattacharya, President and Chief Executive Officer of Salesforce for South Asia, said the shift reflects India's readiness to operationalize generative AI and agentic AI at scale across various sectors.

"Companies are now putting things into production," Bhattacharya said, highlighting a significant acceleration in how Indian firms are deploying AI solutions following initial testing phases. The transition underscores India's substantial untapped potential for digital transformation through artificial intelligence, with considerable "white space" available for growth in emerging AI capabilities.

Salesforce is responding to this momentum by deepening its commitment to India. The company plans to commission a new technology tower in Bengaluru during the coming calendar year as part of its broader investment strategy in the country. Beyond physical infrastructure, Salesforce is prioritizing talent development and recruitment to strengthen its India operations and support local enterprise AI initiatives.

The expansion reflects confidence among global technology leaders in India's enterprise software market and the country's skilled workforce. As companies across sectors increasingly move AI from experimental phases into business-critical operations, infrastructure investment and talent acquisition will be critical to sustaining momentum in the adoption cycle.
