The shipment of 18 railway coaches, produced in India, is expected to reach Bangladesh this Friday, according to railway officials. The coaches represent part of ongoing efforts to modernize and expand the country's railway infrastructure and passenger capacity.
The arrival of these Indian-manufactured coaches reflects Bangladesh's strategy to enhance its rail transport network through international procurement. The new additions are anticipated to strengthen service capabilities across key rail routes operating within the country.
Railway authorities have made arrangements to receive and process the incoming coaches upon their arrival on Friday afternoon. The coaches will subsequently be integrated into the existing rail system following standard inspection and preparation procedures.
This development comes as Bangladesh continues to invest in upgrading its transportation infrastructure to meet growing passenger and freight demands. The modernization efforts aim to improve service quality and operational efficiency across the national railway network.
