Shafali attributed her improved approach to intensive study of Australian batting techniques conducted during the off-season, revealing a methodical approach to skill development. Named player of the match for her explosive innings, the right-hander stated that consistency had emerged as a key focus area for 2025.

"When I was back at home, I was thinking about what I can improve," Shafali said in the post-match presentation. "Consistency was one of those things and I analysed the Australian batters to see what they were doing to try and improve."

Indian skipper Smriti Mandhana, who contributed an unbeaten 47 runs to the victory, praised Shafali's performance and outlined the team's tactical approach. "Shafali was just doing her thing and I was happy to take singles. And when my chances came, I took them. That's the brand we want to play," Mandhana said.

The captain also commended the team's bowling performance in securing the series-clinching win at home, suggesting improved discipline across all departments contributed to the commanding victory.
