Indian Railways has deployed an extra Vistadome coach on the Vizag-Araku Valley train route to manage increased passenger demand during the Dasara holidays. The additional service will run from October 13 to 20, offering tourists and travellers enhanced comfort and scenic viewing experience along the popular route.
The glass-roofed Vistadome coach is specifically designed for sightseeing, featuring 44 rotating seats that allow passengers to adjust their seating position while enjoying panoramic views of the landscape. The coach includes an observation lounge at the rear, providing an ideal vantage point for visitors to experience the scenic beauty of the Araku Valley region.
The Vizag-Araku Valley train journey is a popular tourist attraction in Andhra Pradesh, traversing through picturesque terrain and tribal areas. The introduction of the additional Vistadome coach reflects Indian Railways' efforts to enhance passenger comfort and capacity during peak travel seasons.
The move comes as the Dasara festival period typically witnesses a significant spike in leisure travel across India. By adding the specialized coach, the railway administration aims to provide a more comfortable travel experience while meeting the heightened demand for tickets on this scenic route during the festive season.
