Indian Railways launches special trains between Mysuru and Rameswaram for festivals

Indian Railways has announced a special train service connecting Mysuru and Rameswaram to accommodate increased passenger traffic during the festive season. The initiative will see nine trips operated in each direction between the two cities, commencing from October 5 and continuing through December 1.

The service is designed to cater to devotees and holidaymakers traveling to these key destinations during Dasara and Deepavali celebrations. Mysuru, known for its grand Dasara festivities and historical significance, and Rameswaram, a major pilgrimage site in Tamil Nadu, are popular destinations for both spiritual journeys and holiday travel during this period.

The special train service reflects Railways' strategy to enhance connectivity and ease passenger congestion on established routes during peak festival seasons. By introducing additional services, the national transporter aims to provide travelers with flexible scheduling options while managing demand across its network.

Passengers are advised to book tickets in advance through authorized channels as the festive season typically witnesses high demand for rail travel. The special trains will follow standard safety and operational protocols established by Indian Railways.
