RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday stressed the importance of India's traditional values in advancing the welfare of society and the world at large. Addressing a gathering in Nagpur's Deolapur area, Bhagwat argued that adherence to these traditions was crucial for ensuring safety and well-being across all segments of society.
The remarks came during the inauguration of initiatives at the Gau-Vigyan Anusandhan Kendra, marking the birth centenary year of late Vishva Hindu Parishad president Ashok Singhal. Bhagwat underscored that Indians should conduct their lives in accordance with their cultural heritage while working towards achieving success and prosperity.
"For the safety of our lives, society, religion and the betterment of the world, the path that becomes increasingly necessary with each passing day is that people of India should live according to their traditions and succeed," the RSS chief stated. He emphasised that every individual deserves a fulfilling life and urged collective action towards this goal.
Bhagwat highlighted the need for expanded participation in constructive social work, suggesting that current levels of engagement fell short of what was required given India's population. He called for a broader base of citizens to contribute meaningfully to societal development and collective well-being.
