Indian Woman Dies in Missouri Road Accident; Fellow National Injured

A tragic road accident in Missouri has claimed the life of Daram Supriya, a 31-year-old woman from Telangana, after a truck collided with her car from behind. The collision occurred as Supriya and a fellow Indian national were returning from work in St. Louis. The second woman sustained injuries in the incident.

Local authorities responded to the accident scene, and Supriya was pronounced dead at the location. The circumstances surrounding the truck driver's actions are under investigation by Missouri traffic authorities.

Following his daughter's death, Supriya's father has appealed to the Telangana state government for assistance in repatriating her mortal remains to India. The family has requested official support to facilitate the necessary procedures for bringing her body back home.

Indian nationals working or studying abroad have faced heightened risks on American roadways in recent years, with a number of fatal accidents involving Indian citizens reported across various U.S. states. The incident adds to growing concerns about road safety for the Indian diaspora in the United States.
