IndiGo aircraft sustains damage after collision at Srinagar airport
An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai struck a docking pole while being parked at Srinagar airport on Friday, though all passengers and crew members were unharmed. The aircraft suffered damage during the incident, which occurred as the plane was being positioned at its designated bay.

Flight 6E 225 (VT-NOG) made contact with a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole at 9:02 am while being positioned at Bay No. 6 at Srinagar International Airport, according to a statement from the Airport Authority of India (AAI). The collision occurred during the parking process.
All 180 passengers and crew members on board safely evacuated the aircraft using manual stairs with no reported injuries. The AAI confirmed that airport operations continued normally following the incident, with scheduled arrivals and departures proceeding as planned.
The airport authority said it will examine the circumstances surrounding the collision through prescribed inquiry procedures. "The exact cause will be ascertained following the completion of the inquiry, and no conclusion regarding the cause is being drawn at this stage," the AAI statement said. Appropriate authorities will investigate the incident in accordance with established protocols.
