IndiGo flight makes safe emergency landing in Goa after engine failure
An IndiGo aircraft operating from Goa to Delhi returned to Manohar International Airport and landed safely after experiencing an engine failure shortly after takeoff. All 229 passengers and crew members on board the flight were unharmed.

IndiGo flight 6E 2102 departed Dabolim Airport in North Goa at 9:16 am on Wednesday bound for Delhi when technical issues emerged minutes into the flight. Air Traffic Control declared a full emergency at 9:30 am after the aircraft reported a failure in one of its engines.
The pilot made the decision to return to Manohar International Airport in Mopa, North Goa, executing a safe landing on runway 28 at 9:51 am approximately 35 minutes after takeoff. The aircraft carried 229 passengers and crew members at the time of the incident.
An IndiGo spokesperson confirmed the incident in a statement, saying "A technical issue was detected shortly after takeoff on IndiGo flight 6E 2102 operating from North Goa to Delhi. Following the standard operating procedure, the relevant authorities were informed." The airline did not provide further details regarding the nature of the engine failure or subsequent passenger arrangements.
The incident marks the latest technical emergency involving a major Indian carrier. Regulatory authorities and airport officials were present at the airport during the emergency landing.
