Infantino pledges FIFA action to bridge financial divide among member nations
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has called for the international football body to narrow the substantial financial gap between wealthy member federations and those with limited resources. Infantino suggested that resistance to equalising resources stems partly from established football powers, which he indicated were unwilling to see emerging footballing nations gain financial strength that might challenge their dominance.
