Injury to Kishan opens door for Suryavvanshi in New Zealand T20 series

Vaibhav Suryavvanshi appears poised for a recall to India's playing XI for the second T20 International against New Zealand, following an injury to wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan. The development comes after the young batter failed to secure a spot during India's recent T20 series against the West Indies, nor did he feature in the first match of the ongoing New Zealand series.

Kishan's unavailability due to injury has created an unexpected opportunity for Suryavvanshi, who has been awaiting a chance to make his mark at the international level. The setback to the established player has effectively opened the door for fresh talent in India's middle order.

Suryavvanshi's inclusion would mark a significant moment in his international career, providing him with the platform to demonstrate his abilities against quality opposition. The timing of Kishan's injury has potentially shifted the squad dynamics for the remainder of the series against New Zealand.
