The International Team will field Nick Taylor, Nico Echavarria and Ryo Hisatsune as captain's picks, Ogilvy announced on Tuesday, bringing fresh talent to a squad facing an uphill battle against the heavily favoured American side.
Taylor, Echavarria and Hisatsune all make their Presidents Cup debuts, representing half of Ogilvy's discretionary selections for the biennial competition. The trio will join the automatically qualified members of the International Team as it prepares for the challenge ahead.
The United States, meanwhile, has bolstered its squad with its own captain's picks, adding significant firepower to an already formidable lineup. The Americans have dominated recent editions of the Presidents Cup, extending their dominance over the International Team.
The International Team has not claimed victory since 1998, making this edition a critical opportunity to snap a lengthy losing streak. The additions of three newcomers signal Ogilvy's strategy to inject fresh energy and perspective into the team's campaign.
