iQOO has officially announced plans to bring the iQOO 16 to the Indian market, marking the company's latest flagship expansion in the region. The smartphone will feature Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, positioning it among the most powerful devices available to Indian consumers seeking top-tier performance.

The device will run OriginOS 7, iQOO's proprietary operating system based on Android, offering users a customized interface and feature set. This combination of hardware and software aims to deliver enhanced performance and user experience across demanding applications and gaming workloads.

The iQOO 16's India launch follows its initial release in China during September, allowing the company to refine its market approach based on early consumer response. The timing coincides with increased competition in India's premium smartphone segment, where multiple manufacturers are vying for share among performance-conscious buyers.

Meanwhile, Motorola has showcased its Signature 27 model at the Indian Mobile Congress 2026, adding to the momentum in India's high-end smartphone market. The showcase underscores intense competition among global and domestic manufacturers to capture India's growing premium device segment.
