Iran, US remain deadlocked as Qatar mediation effort falters

Negotiations between Iran and the United States brokered by Qatar have collapsed once again, with neither side willing to compromise on their fundamental positions. The latest round of talks underscores the deep entrenchment of both parties as they pursue conflicting agendas in the ongoing dispute.
